According to a statement issued by the Agency, a significantly smaller number of small and medium-sized enterprises from Asia will exhibit at the fair because of the global financial crisis which has given nine Serbian companies more exhibition space.
Serbian IT companies PSTech, M&I Systems, Accordia Group, Belit, BioIRC, Code, E-Smart Systems, Seavus and Serbian Software Cluster will exhibit at the national stand called “Serbia – Smart Solution”.
Organizers of CeBIT have announced that this year because of the financial crisis there will be 1,500 exhibitors less than the previous year.
SIEPA’s ICT industry advisor Andrija Bednarik said that this is a great opportunity for Serbia to make an impressive appearance.
Financial and technical support for Serbian exhibitors is being provided by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, the USAID project for competition development and the German organization for technical cooperation GTZ.
SIEPA has prepared a joint exhibitors’ catalogue for the occasion as well as a new brochure about the ICT industry and Serbia’s potential in this area.
For all those who are interested in latest IT developments and cannot attend CeBIT 2009, audio recordings of the most important presentations and reports from the fair will be telecast round the clock every day at the site
www.beotelradio.net.
California is CeBIT’s partner this year and a special guest at the fair will be Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as companies such as Yahoo and YouTube.
