The difference between the retail price index and the consumer price index was a result of the various influences that the rise in prices of particular items had on these indices.
By groups, compared with the previous month, the prices of agricultural products increased by 1.4%. The increase was due to the seasonal shift in the price of vegetables, fruit, eggs and fish.
The price of industrial food products went up 0.9% on average.
There has also been a hike in the price of processed fruit, fresh meat and meat products, as well as a fall in the price of wheat, milk and cooking oil.
The prices of beverages went up 5% on average, while the price of tobacco remained the same.
The price of industrial non-food products were up 2.6% on average. The prices in this group were affected by the increase in the price of oil derivatives. The prices of other products did not change significantly.
The price of services increased by 3.1% on average.
