According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, a Serbian economic delegation, headed by State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Vesna Arsic, is visiting Iran, at the invitation of the Iranian Trade Minister.
The two sides will discuss bilateral cooperation on the eve of the 13th session of the Mixed Commission for Economic Cooperation.
Serbia aims to cooperate with Iran in terms of energy and attract Iranian investors to Serbia.
Serbian and Iranian representatives will discuss a draft free-trade agreement, which will considerably liberalise foreign trade and help develop trade cooperation between the two countries.
The Serbian delegation will also present Serbian enterprises which are soon to be privatised.
Serbia has had an opportunity to present its economic potential at a business forum, organised under the auspices of the Serbian and Iranian Chambers of Commerce, which comprised more than 50 enterprises from both countries.
