Serbia regional leader in economic freedom

The Belgrade Chamber of Commerce stated that the Heritage Foundation in Washington will on February 24 present the results of its research on the Index of Economic Freedom, according to which Serbia, after a long period of absence from the list, has been ranked as a regional leader in economic freedom.
According to the statement the result of the research, which was carried out last year, was published by the Wall Street Journal. The results were presented to the European Parliament, EU officials and businesses and media in Brussels on February 17.
Serbia’s advantage over the neighbouring countries in this respect sends out a strong positive signal to EU leaders and to potential investors world wide.
