Ball Corporation makes further investments in Serbia

Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic talked today with executives of Ball Corporation and its subsidiary Ball Packaging Europe about their new Serbian investments.
Ball Corporation President and Chief Executive David Hoover said that the company will soon invest €25 million in its factory in Belgrade to start producing beverage can lids, making it the only factory in Europe where both the lids and body will be manufactured.
Government representatives welcomed the company’s decision to make further investment in Serbia, which will expand production, create 100 new jobs and increase Serbia’s exports.
Cvetkovic and Dinkic informed company representatives about the measures that the government is implementing to create a good investment climate, particularly when it comes to removing unnecessary regulations.
Company executives expressed gratitude to the Serbian government for its support and cooperation and stressed that they are willing to share their positive experiences in Serbia with other interested parties.
