At the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the new Reum GmbH car parts plant, Dinkic said that Reum GmbH’s investment amounts to €10 million, adding that it will employ over 300 workers.
According to him, the production will be export oriented, producing plastic components and automated control systems for leaders in the car industry such as Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and Volkswagen.
The Minister stressed that Serbia generated nearly €1 billion from import of car parts this year.
The Serbian governmental through Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), will allow €4,000 per each newly employed worker in this factory, which is a big incentive, he said noting that all serious companies like Reum GmbH are welcome in Serbia.
This day is very important for Svilajnac as this is a big foreign investment, he said.
The municipality of Svilajnac will give Reum GmbH five hectares of land equipped with completed infrastructure, while the German partner is obliged to complete construction of the factory and start production by 2009.
Also attending were local officials, Minister for the National Investment Plan Verica Kalanovic and State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Dejan Jovanovic.
