The statement adds that the award was presented for organic juice made of wild strawberry of entirely Serbian origin, sold abroad as Terra Organica.
Each year at the conference awards are presented in two categories, namely, for the Best New Juice Product and Best Innovation in Packaging and Processing.
Each nomination is assessed by a jury comprising representatives of the leading food industry guide Foodnews, consultancy Canadean Ltd and the international association of juice producers Sure-Global-Fair.
Foodland’s success adds new importance to the Serbian economy as it will help increase export as well as ensure deals to engage underdeveloped but healthy and ecological regions in Serbia.
Foodland was nominated by USAID’s Agribusiness Project whose experts helped develop a marketing plan and materials.
The organic juice is only a part of Foodland’s organic product assortment titled Terra Organica.
Foodland’s products of Terra Organica and Granny’s Secret brands are exported to over 20 countries and the company has participated in a number of international exhibitions worldwide, with SIEPA organising its participation.
