The statement says that yesterday in The Hague, as a part of the World Conference of Trade Promotion Organisations (
www.tpo-net.com), Kenya was announced this year’s winner in the group of finalists, comprising Kenya, Brazil, Palestine, Paraguay, South African Republic and Serbia.
This prize is being awarded every two years and is the highest international recognition for investment and promotion agencies.
Serbia is currently in the final phase of negotiations on the WTO entry, SIEPA Director Vesna Peric announced.
This is another confirmation of SIEPA’s quality, considering the fact that in the 2006 research of World Bank’s specialised agency Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) in which investment and promotion agencies from 114 developing countries and countries in transition were compared, SIEPA was among the top eight, being in line with the best world’s organisations.
Last January, at the International Investment Conference on Free Zones in Paris, SIEPA’s website was declared the best website of the kind in the world.
Eight months later, at the World Investment Conference La Baule 2007, SIEPA was awarded a special prize for the best promotion strategy and campaign on investment climate in a European country.
SIEPA was given the European Attractiveness Award, due to the promotional video on Serbia, internet presentation and the set of sector booklets on domestic economic potentials.
SIEPA obtained the right for Serbia to launch the promotional video of investment climate in the country on the famous international TV channel Euronews in the prime time on seven different languages.
