At the fair, held on September 23–27, Serbian companies made 500 contacts of which around 130 will result in potential export deals with clients primarily from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other former Soviet Union countries, as well as from Italy, the Netherlands, Argentina and Brasil.
Fruit and vegetable producers presented at the fair were companies Agranela, Agroprom, Interfood 60, Juzni Banat, ML, Desing, Prima Product, Yugotrade, Bilje Borca, Fruitland, ITN and Igda.
The third participation of Serbian companies at the fair was organised by SIEPA with financial assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the USAID Agribusiness Project.
Serbian companies presented products such as apples, fresh and frozen berries, mushrooms, spices and dressings.
At around 60,000 square metres of exhibition space over 1,300 participants from 61 countries were presented, and apart from Serbia, another 56 countries had their national stands, such as the US, the UK, the Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Argentina and China.
The Moscow food fair is one of the most prestigious expositions of the kind with almost 60,000 visitors a year.
