According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Trade and Services, Milosavljevic and Jinghua said during the meeting that trade cooperation between the two countries is on a high level with a large deficit on the Serbian side, and it was decided that a new modality must be found in order to improve the balance of trade.
The Chinese Ambassador informed Milosavljevic about the preferential treatment of Serbian goods and services on the Chinese market, and said that Chinese investors wish to invest in Serbia to gain proximity to regional and EU markets.
The Chinese Ambassador invited representatives of the Serbian Trade Ministry’s market inspectorate to participate at a seminar in China, to further improve cooperation in the area of market control through exchange of experience.
Also present at the meeting were economic and trade advisor at the Chinese embassy Ren Yi, Serbian Assistant Minister for trade Ljiljana Stankovic, and Assistant Minister for international cooperation Mihailo Vesovic.
