Compared to July 2007, retail prices rose by 13.9%.
Observed by groups, the greatest price increases this July were recorded in the education sector 3.6% (school fees increased), transport sector services 1.7% (oil and oil derivatives increased), services at restaurants and hotels 0.4% (prices of beverages rose), whereas the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages slid by 3.5%.
The prices of other goods and services remained at almost the same level.
CPI COICOP represents a special retail prices index calculated according to the methodology harmonised with recommendations for retail prices index calculation in the EU (Harmonised Price Index).
CPI COICOP is defined as a measure of the average change in retail prices of goods and services used for personal consumption.
