Examined by sectors, in June 2008 compared to the same month in 2007, there was a growth of 3.9% in the processing sector, whereas a fall of 8.1% was recorded in the production of durable consumer goods, 1.7% in energy production and 0.8% in the production of non-durable consumer goods.

The production of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that were not included in regular statistical surveys is monitored based on a sample of 325 selected units. In June, 116 enterprises submitted the requested data.
