Andric said that four years ago, 50 days and €400 were needed to register a company, while today that process lasts less than three days and costs less than €50.
According to him, Serbia’s goal is to introduce electronic registration, for which the Serbian Business Registers Agency is already equipped, but it is necessary that the new government passes additional regulations.
He said that in the upcoming years the number of registered companies in Serbia is expected to reach 200,000 and underlined that conditions should be created for companies to finish all the paperwork regarding taxes, administration and contributions at one counter.
The European Commerce Registers’ Forum conference is being held today and tomorrow in Belgrade, with over 100 representatives from 33 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and the US participating.
The Serbian Business Registers Agency has chaired the ECRF since June last year, and it will hand over its chairmanship to Luxembourg at this conference.
