Presenting the 2007 annual report on international assistance to Serbia, Cvetkovic said that reforms in Serbia are progressing, that GDP is growing and that the country is less and less dependent on foreign help.
Cvetkovic said that the meeting held today with representatives of donors focused on the overview of the situation and not on new financial assistance to Serbia.
Assistant Minister of Finance Gordana Lazarevic said that the focus of financial help was on energy and transportation reforms, slowly moving toward reforms in state institutions and the judiciary, which are necessary for EU integration.
She expressed hope that parliament will soon ratify the agreements on loans by international financial institutions and that the inflow of funds in the Serbian budget will increase.
Also attending the presentation were representatives from the European Commission, World Bank, USAID, UN agencies and representatives of donor countries.
Head of the European Commission Delegation to Serbia Josep Lloveras said that the EU will continue to support Serbia and increase its assistance to Serbia on its path towards EU integration.
Since 2001, Serbia has received around €872 million in donations.
