The Serbian Statistics Office has said that the average gross salary in the Republic of Serbia in February 2008 amounted to RSD 42,873, down 0.8% in nominal terms and 2.36% in real terms against the previous month.
The average take-home salary in March stood at RSD 30,809, which is a decline of 0.56% in nominal terms and 2.13% in real terms on the average salary in February 2008.
Compared with the same month in 2007, the March gross salary rose 18.6% nominally and 3.49% in real terms.
Compared with the same month in 2007, the February net salary rose 18.68% nominally and 3.56% in real terms.
The average gross salary paid out in Serbia in the period from January to March this year, compared to the average gross salary in the same period in 2007, is nominally up by 19.29% and by 5.19% in real terms.
The average net salary in the period from January to March 2008, compared to the average net salary in the same period in 2007, is nominally up by 19.53% and in real terms by 5.41%, concludes the statement.
