Cubrilo told the Beta news agency that Sweden is a country that allows Serbs to preserve their identity and added that such advantages should be used in the best way possible.
She said there is a lack of enthusiasm and motivation among children and parents for learning Serbian so the Ministry representatives wanted to motivate them as language is the basis for strengthening ties with Serbia.
According to her, the five-day visit to Sweden was used to present seminars for Serbian language teachers abroad as well as summer schools and camps.
She also called on Serbs in Sweden, where nearly 120,000 Serbian expatriates live, to sign up for the May 11 elections by April 20 so that they could vote.
