Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today in a meeting with a delegation of Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija that the Serbian government’s decision to, in advance, and once and for all, to annul the illegitimate declaration of a puppet state on the territory of Serbia is the basis of Serbia’s state and national programme for Kosovo-Metohija after February 17.
At the meeting with the delegation which consisted of representatives of all relevant state and social institutions in the province, Kostunica said that we must provide a safe and normal life to all citizens in the province who respect Serbia as a state through a unified state and national policy and this is why Serbs must stay to live in their homes, in their Kosovo-Metohija, in their Serbia.
At today’s meeting which was attended by ministers Slobodan Samardzic, Velimir Ilic, Dusan Petrovic, Zoran Loncar and Radomir Naumov, it was confirmed that there is full agreement that Serbs in the province, as Serbian citizens with full and equal rights, should be integrated into the constitutional and legal order of Serbia.
It was concluded on the occasion that investments should be made from the Serbian budget and the National Investment Plan and more jobs must be created, which will establish Serbia’s presence in the province even more firmly.
The Serbian government will hold regular meetings with representatives of state and social institutions in the province.
