As part of the 5th cycle of the investment programme implemented by the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA), Dinkic and Djilas signed the contracts with representatives of 15 investment companies to allocate non-repayable funds.
Based on the Decree on the terms and conditions of attracting foreign direct investments with the help of funds from NIP, 31 proposals were submitted. Fifteen were approved, of which three were from foreign companies and 12 from domestic ones.
The implementation of the contract will draw investments totalling €68,306,760 into 14 municipalities in Serbia, as well as open 1,448 new jobs. For this purpose an incentive of €3.152 million was set aside from NIP.
Municipalities Nova Crnja, Secanj, Loznica, Bojnik and Novi Pazar have very high unemployment rates; therefore these investments will have a positive effect on equal-balanced regional development.
In the first four application cycles, SIEPA received 126 applications for the allocation of funds whose purpose is to stimulate investments and the expert committee decided to approve funds for 38 companies, of which 21 are foreign and 17 domestic companies.
A total of €22.922 million from NIP has been set aside for investments worth €292,026,733 and 10,756 new jobs have been created.
