GDP grows 7.6% in first nine months of 2007

The Serbian Statistics Office stated today that Serbia’s GDP rose 7.6% in the first nine months of 2007 when compared with the same period last year.
GDP in the third quarter of the year rose 7.2% compared with the same period of 2006.
By sectors, the largest growth was recorded in transportation (24.2%), financial transactions (20%), trade (18.1%) hotels and restaurants (8.1%), production of electrical power (5.4%), processing industry (4.3%) and construction (2.2%).
