The statement adds that industrial production from January to November 2007 saw an increase of 4% against the same period last year.
By sectors, electric power, gas and water production and distribution sector saw a growth of 0.8%, whereas the mining and quarrying sector fell by 6.9% and the processing industry by 3% compared to November 2006.
The production of the following goods recorded a fall: durable consumer goods by 9.7%, intermediate products, energy excluded, by 7.5%, energy by 0.8% and non-durable consumer goods by 0.1%; however, a growth of 7.3% was recorded with capital goods.
The volume of industrial production in November 2007 against the same month last year recorded a fall in 16 divisions that in the structure of industrial production participate with 55%, whereas growth was recorded in 13 divisions that in the structure of industrial production participate with 45%.
The largest negative influence on industrial production in November 2007 compared to November 2006 was due to the production of basic metals, food products, furniture, textile and oil derivatives.
The seasonal adjustment of the industrial production index for November 2007, compared to the 2006 average, indicates a 0.3% growth of the overall industrial production and a growth of 0.6% in the processing industry.
The seasonally adjusted industrial production index for November 2007 compared to October 2007 indicates a fall of 1.5% in the overall industrial production and of 0.6% in the processing industry.
The production of small-sized enterprises (employing fewer than 50 workers) that were not included in regular statistical surveys is monitored on a sample of 335 selected units from the processing sector.
In November 2007, 110 enterprises submitted the requested data. When the assessment of the industrial production of small-sized enterprises of the sample is included, the overall industrial production increased by 10.6% (otherwise this growth stands at 9.3%) and the processing industry by 10.1% (otherwise the growth stands at 8.3%) compared to the 2006 average.
