The statement reads that in the given period, €371 million was paid to domestic creditors, of which €227 million for servicing the debt for old foreign currency savings and €109 as debt to pensioners.
In the same period, €46.3 million was paid to international creditors, mostly international financial organisations and multilateral creditors. At the same time, Serbia withdrew new loans and approved guarantees in the amount of €203.4 million.
As the result of the above-mentioned movements and inter-currency changes, Serbia's total debt at the end of October 2007 is €9 billion, which is below 30% of GDP, the statement reads and is added that the relation of public debt with GDP in Serbia is among lower in Central and Southeast Europe.
