Djilas said that while Serbian officials fight for Kosovo in world institutions, it is necessary that all those who work for the state institutions help Serbs in Kosovo through concrete actions.
Pajtic said that the name of the kindergarten speaks about symbolical and unbreakable tie of these two parts of Serbia.
We cannot rest easy if children in Kosovo do not have the same or similar conditions as their peers in Subotica, Nis and other Serbian towns, Pajtic said.
President of the municipality of Strpce Stanko Jakovljevic handed over a letter of thanx to Djilas, Pajtic and Director of the People's Office of the Serbian President, Tatjana Pasic, who also attended the opening ceremony.
On October 18 last year, Pajtic and Djilas laid a cornerstone for the kindergarten.
The kindergarten in Strpce was built and equipped at the initiative of the People's Office through funds of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, the National Investment Plan and the municipal assembly of Strpce.
The construction of the kindergarten, which has 450 square metres and will host 90 children, cost RSD 17.8 million. The Executive Council of Vojvodina invested RSD 9.75 million, the municipality of Strpce gave the land and RSD 4.75 million, while RSD 3.3 million were set aside from the National Investment Plan.
