Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić emphasised today during a conversation with Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Angola Téte António that the two countries are connected by decades of friendly relations, based on mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation.

He assessed that this tradition represents a strong foundation for the further improvement of bilateral relations in political, economic and other areas of common interest.
Serbia highly appreciates Angola’s principled position on the issue of non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, he emphasised and assessed that such a position confirms Angola’s consistent commitment to the basic principles of international law, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
Đurić said that economic relations should be accompanied by exceptionally good political ties, pointing to the potential for cooperation in the areas of agriculture, the food industry, digitalisation, information and communication technologies (ICT) and investment.
He said that Serbia is ready to further intensify trade and investment cooperation in the coming period.
