The fact that world financial institutions approve loans to Serbia is a sign that they have confidence that Serbia will use that money in the right way, but also give it back within deadlines established, the Minister said.
The Belgrade city authorities agreed to set aside RSD 300 million for continuation of the ring road, Djilas stated.
Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Dario Scannapieco said that this agreement represents the first tranche of the total loan worth € 180 million. The repayment period is 25 years, with a possible five-year grace period.
Director of the public company "Putevi Srbije", which is in charge of implementation of the project of the Belgrade ring road, Branko Jocic, said that another agreement with the same purpose should be signed in mid-November with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, worth €55 million. He outlined that the estimated value of the entire project is €452 million.
