Serbian Minister without Portfolio in charge of the National Investment Plan Dragan Djilas addressed the participants of the Serbian Economic Summit 2007 and acquainted them with essential projects of the National Investment Plan, whose aim is to create a better life in Serbia.
Djilas specified that this year €9 million from the National Investment Plan will be invested in the ring road around Belgrade, €6 million will be set aside for participation in financing greenfield investments, another €6 million for gasification, €8.2 million for investments in education and €8 million for the reform of the health care system.
Priorities of the National Investment Plan are investments in infrastructure projects, stressed Djilas and added that the plan was composed after the Irish model which was proved to be successful.
Serbia will keep going and will become a proper society when every ordinary man is able to provide a decent life for his family and the guiding idea of the National Investment Plan is to create preconditions for that, explained Djilas.
He also said that when compared to 2006, this year the National Investment Plan has undergone huge changes and recalled that the plan is now recorded in the Serbian budget which is a novelty.
