The Serbian delegation acquainted the gathering, dedicated to the enforcement of obligations in the field of human rights and democratisation, with the position of religious communities in Serbia, as well as with the implementation of the National Investment Plan for the Roma.
Serbian Refugee Commissionaire Dragisa Dabetic warned of the still unresolved issue of the return of refugees to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as IDPs from Kosovo-Metohija.
During the first day of the session, Serbian representatives met with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambeau and Head of the US delegation and discussed the situation in the province in the context of actual talks and the work of the OSCE Mission in there.
The regular session looked at issues such as national minorities and the improvement of human rights, and in this context paid a great deal of attention to the difficult position of Serbs and other non-ethnic Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija.
The OSCE regular annual session is the most important forum for bringing together the minds of representatives of both the government and the civilian sectors from all 56 OSCE member countries.
