Cvetkovic told Tanjug news agency that Russians are interested in operations on the Serbian financial market, adding that there is mutual interest of Russian businesspeople and bankers in Serbia.
He added that certain banks from Moscow showed interest in taking part in privatisation of Serbian banks.
Cvetkovic presented the Russian bankers with legal regulations and privatisation framework and the Russian side completely agreed to the terms of privatisation.
Cvetkovic announced that the Bank of Moscow is interested in investment in Agrobanka and Srpska Banka.
Minister of Trade and Services Predrag Bubalo met with president of the Russian-Serbian committee for promotion of economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation Sergei Shoigu to discuss numerous economic topics, most of which focused on reduction of Serbia’s foreign deficit to Russia.
Bubalo said that they also discussed liberalisation of list of goods that is part of free trade agreement.
Other topics referred to construction of Serbian trade centre, granting more licences for Serbian exporters, energy sector and participation of Russian companies in privatisation in Serbia, Bubalo said.
