During the first day of her visit to Croatia, Cubrilo talked with Croatian officials on presenting Serbian culture in Croatia, problems in the return of Serbian refugees and return of cultural heritage to both countries.
She met with Croatian Minister of the Sea, Development, Transport and Tourism Bozidar Kalmeta, Croatian Minister of Culture Bozo Biskupic and Croatian State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hidajet Biscevic.
Cubrilo said that the aim of all her meetings in Croatia is Serbia’s wish to intensify and expand activities for presenting Serbian culture in Croatia in a modern manner.
She pointed to the possibility of engaging Serbs in Croatia in the effort to better present Serbian culture in Croatia.
According to Cubrilo, such representatives of the Serbian minority could become ambassadors of Serbian culture in Croatia.
Cubrilo directed a proposal to Biskupic that the Serbian Ministry of Diaspora and Croatian Ministry of Culture should become joint sponsors of a photography exhibition of Zagreb and Belgrade.
She said that she spoke with Croatian officials also on the problems in the return of Serb refugees to Croatia, especially on possibilities of jointly financed projects of economic development and development of various forms of tourism on territories to which Serb refugees have returned.
She said that she talked with Biskupic on returning cultural heritage of both countries. She discussed models of return and special obligations of Croatia and Serbia from the Sarajevo Declaration.
The Serbian delegation led by Milica Cubrilo visited today the Serbian National Council.
