The National Council for Cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) brought a decision at its session held today on submitting documentation in response to nine demands made by The Hague Tribunal’s prosecution and releasing one witness from the oath of secrecy.
According to a statement, the council responded positively to 58 demands by the defence which regarded submitting documentation needed for preparing defence before the ICTY and releasing witnesses from the oath of secrecy who were to appear before the court for the defence.
Special attention was paid at the session of the council to further submission of documentation to the prosecution, and in accordance with this relevant state organs were instructed to take all necessary measures aiming to fully meet the remaining demands of the ICTY.
