The Serbian Privatisation Agency has announced the second tender sale of the mining and metallurgical complex RTB Bor at the initial price of $340 million.
According to the agency’s web site (
www.priv.yu), the buyer will have to offer at least $180 million for investments and accept all requirements from the social welfare programme within which the new owner will have to accept the current workforce of 4,691.
Transfer of exploitation rights and the assets of RTB Bor will also be offered at the tender, as well as assets of the Majdanpek copper mine and Bor copper smeltery and refinery.
All prospective buyers will be able to purchase the tender documentation starting from September 14 at the price of $10,000 and the deadline for submitting applications for participation in the tender is October 5.
