6, 494 new firms registered in first six months of the year

The Serbian Privatisation Agency said that 6,494 new firms were registered in the first six months of the year in the companies register.
In relation to the same period last year, this is a growth of 3.88%.
If the current trend continues, by the end of the year the number of new companies might increase by 15% in relation to 2006.
For the first six months of the year, 8,068 contracts on financial leasing were registered, which is by 24.5% less in relation to the same period last year, when 10,693 contracts were registered.
In the first half of 2007, 5,631 pledges were included in the Register of security rights over non-fixed assets and rights, which is by 74.5% more than in the same period last year.
