According to Ilic, main priorities will be construction of the ring road around Belgrade, the Pancevo and Gazela bridges and the Batajnica and Dobanovci section road, but reconstruction of other roads throughout Serbia will not be ignored.
Ilic specified that a sum of RSD 11.5 billion has been set aside from the National Investment Plan for these works, and loans will also be used.
He said that €140 million and funds from €160 million to €180 million from road tax revenues will be invested in railway infrastructure. He explained that this money, as well as RSD 2 billion from the budget, will be spent exclusively for this purpose.
Minister Ilic attended today the ceremony of handing over 12 flats to families from the collective centre “Karadjordje” in Jarmenovci, who now once again have their own houses after 15 years of life as refugees.
After less than a year of building, these flats were completed owing to help from the German humanitarian organisation ASB, which invested some €300,000 and contributed €150,000 to municipal funds.
Ilic visited the newly constructed building before handing over the flats, and said on the occasion that owing to donations, by the end of the year 670 flats will be given to refugees in seven municipalities.
The Minister recalled that the Italian government alone invested some €15 million in this housing programme for refugees.
