Expo 2027 important opportunity to further connect Serbia, US

Đurić emphasised that Serbia attaches great importance to US participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, adding that the event represents a significant opportunity to further connect the two countries.
The officials also discussed the next steps in preparing the US pavilion, as well as the specific companies engaged in the project and the upcoming stages required to ensure everything is ready for the realisation of projects and activities within the framework of Expo 2027.
The Serbian Foreign Minister also highlighted that Expo 2027 could serve as an additional impetus for high-level visits to Serbia and the intensification of political and economic contacts between the two nations.
Discussions also touched upon the fact that next year marks a significant milestone in the history of Serbian-American relations, specifically the 145th anniversary of the entry into force of the Trade Agreement and the Consular Convention, which lends additional symbolic value and significance to the year 2027.
Đurić underlined that Serbia will systematically approach the further development of the Strategic Dialogue with the US, as well as the strengthening of the institutional framework designed to enable the concretisation of agreed priorities and foster the further implementation of joint initiatives.
