Concrete date for resumption of negotiations between Serbia and EU expected in upcoming week

Director of the Serbian government’s EU Integration Office Tanja Miscevic said today that a concrete date for resumption of negotiations between Serbia and the EU could be known by the end of the next week.

Speaking for the TV B92, Miscevic stressed that the date of the negotiations could be expected after the visit of Hague tribunal Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte which is scheduled for Monday.
She welcomed the statement from Brussels which supports resumption of negotiations, but added that the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) will not be concluded until all Hague indictees are not handed over to the tribunal.
According to Miscevic, until now 80% of the contents of the SAA haven been agreed upon, and the negotiation delegation will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic.
