Milosavljevic told Radio Television Serbia that a new investment cycle for clinical centres begins this year and that it will be completed in 2010 or 2011.
He said that works on 161 community health centres will be completed during next month and that a competition for employment of 300 doctors and 700 nurses will be announced.
Speaking about new medical cards, the Minister said that they are only a transitional phase to the "smart card" with a chip.
According to him, the procedure for validation of medical cards will be facilitated, and the possibility of giving lifetime medical cards to pensioners is being considered.
The Minister announced a big campaign that will last until the end of the year, under the slogan "You have the right", whose aim is to inform citizens about their health insurance rights.
