In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Cubrilo recalled that through the German Chamber of Commerce, Serbia’s National Foundation for Humane Old Age spoke to its counterpart “Senior Service”, an organisation providing services in this remit.
She said that she met today with a representative of this organisation, Elvira Savado, and discussed the possibilities for the Serbian Diaspora to participate in programmes and projects of Serbia’s spa and recreational resources.
Cubrilo said they reached agreement on determining which spas’ standards are high enough for them to be included in such a programme.
According to Cubrilo, the signing of the agreement should ensue between German insurance organisations and Serbian spas, either individually with each of the spas or at the regional level.
Savado, who in the past two weeks visited several towns and spas in Serbia, said that a lot of funds must be invested in spas, but added that she believes the plan is feasible and said she will inform the relevant organs in Germany on the matter.
