The Ministry says in a statement that Cubrilo briefed the Japanese Ambassador on the Ministry’s plans and upcoming activities, particularly with the initiative to include educated and successful immigrants from Serbia in the development of Japan.
They put forward proposals and initiatives for further cooperation and support of Japan, and on behalf of his country Ambassador Nagai offered support in the area of humanitarian activities, as has been the case so far.
Cubrilo and Greek Ambassador mostly looked at concrete solutions and the issue of Serbian and Greek immigrants.
As a country whose diaspora is among the largest ones, Greece has experiences that can be useful for future cooperation with the Serbian diaspora.
Panagopoulos and Cubrilo shared their experiences in the field and promised endorsement in the realisation of initiatives.
Panagopoulos will share his experiences in the realisation of electronic census of citizens living outside their home country, and he also proposed that immigrants be motivated to buy land in their native country, thus making them more linked with it.
Cubrilo commended the proposal and said that another idea is to revive and use existing facilities and old houses in the Serbian countryside because all Serbian immigrants could stay there while in Serbia, adds the statement.
