The data on industrial production by sectors in April 2007, compared to April 2006, show growth in the production of durable consumer goods by 71.4%, non-durable consumer goods by 6.5%, and intermediate goods by 12.6%, while a fall of 7.5% has been recorded in the production of capital goods and of 1.4% in the production of energy.
The industrial production growth in April 2007 compared to April 2006 was mostly influenced by production of foodstuffs and beverages, furniture, chemicals and chemical products, publishing, printing and reproduction of writings and production of basic metals.
The seasonal adjustment of the industrial production index for April 2007, compared to the 2006 average, indicates a 4.6% growth in the overall industrial production and a 7.1% growth in the processing industry.
