Jocic said that the police will continue to fight crime and stressed that all that is necessary will be done to complete the cooperation with The Hague.
The Minister emphasised that the Serbian police is ready to be partner to other police forces in the world, with whose assistance reforms are being implemented, noting that this particularly refers to flow of information and various forms of international police cooperation.
He also said that over the past four years, Serbian police achieved great success in fighting organised crime and noted that the fight is still underway.
The Minister stressed that special emphasis was on revealing criminal acts in the areas of financial fraud and corruption.
In a ceremony at Makis training centre occasioned by the Police Day, Jocic handed over the awards for excellent performance to 34 police officers.
The central ceremony was also attended by Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, envoy and secretary general of the Serbian President Branko Radujko, Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac, Director of Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA) Rade Bulatovic as well as other political representatives.
Also present were Republika Srpska Minister of Interior Stanislav Cadjo, Prince-Crown Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, diplomats and foreign officials.
