PACE Standing Committee session in Belgrade

The Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will hold its session in Belgrade, which will be attended by PACE President René Van der Linden and Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic, as Serbia begins its six-month chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE).
The PACE Standing Committee will examine the report on fulfilling obligations in the areas of social rights, respect for the principle of gender equality in civil law, the fight against global warming and regarding the issue of missing persons in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The Standing Committee which acts in the name of the Assembly between sessions, comprises the Office, head of national delegations and general committees, and holds a minimum number of two sessions annually.
