He said that returnees will greet the UN Security Council’s mission as friends and people of good will, which is appropriate for the Serbian people.
These will be peaceful protests aimed at showing the Security Council mission, which comes to determine the level of fulfillment of standards in Kosovo-Metohija, all the problems the Serbs are faced with and confirming their wish to return to their homes, he said.
Popovic welcomed the mission's decision to visit the Serbian enclaves in the province because thus its members will see for themselves the poor conditions in which Serbs in Kosovo live.
According to Popovic, Serbs in enclaves are oppressed, without the freedom of movement and work. He voiced hope that the mission will find time to visit the displaced Serbs at the administrative crossing Rudnica, where exiled Serbs will gather.
