Director of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric reiterated this evening that Serbia rejects any idea of giving up part of its territory, Kosovo-Metohija, as a condition for European integration.
In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, Djuric stressed that the Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'Alema should know that top officials in Belgrade have repeatedly and clearly stated that it is out of question for Serbia to accept the condition of giving up Kosovo-Metohija as part of its territory, in the process of European integration.
Serbia rejects even the thought of doing that and states once again that according to the UN Charter and the Constitution of Serbia, Kosovo-Metohija is an unalienable part of Serbia, said Djuric.
