After being maltreated and beaten for two hours while his sons, Nikola and Jovan, were tied up, Mirkovic was arrested and taken to police station in Urosevac, where he will be in 24-hour custody.
Members of the Mirkovic family were injured whereas police officers of Albanian ethnicity, in the presence of KFOR, completely demolished the house as they found a licenced hunting gun inside.
The Coordinating Centre most severely condemns this utterly unacceptable behaviour of Albanian special police officers who openly torture Serbian citizens, the statement says adding that ethnic discrimination and frightening the Serbian population with a view of ethnic cleansing is unacceptable.
