As part of the project, which aims to bolster the efficiency of Serbian courts, computer networks will be introduced in Belgrade courts, with courts in Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Nis to benefit from computer networks later on.
The European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR) has provided €1.7 million for the project so far. The project, which entails the introduction of new technologies and court clerk training, has secured computers for Belgrade courts, computer networks for the third, fourth and fifth municipal courts in Belgrade, as well as a broader computer network for the Palace of Justice. So far, 942 court clerks have received training, the Beta news agency reported.
The project will result in a single database linking courts, police and jails. Classified information will be available only in separate databases.
