Director of the Serbian government’s Office of Media Relations Srdjan Djuric said today that Serbia will preserve its territorial integrity in the UN after the plan of UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari for Kosovo status settlement is rejected by this world organisation.
Djuric said that Serbia will defend its territorial integrity in the UN and that is quite certain that Ahtisaari’s illegal act on the future status of Kosovo-Metohija will be rejected, which will allow the beginning of real negotiations.
Speaking on the possibility that Russia uses the right of veto in the UN Security Council, Djuric said that Moscow’s principle-based support is of historic importance to Serbia.
We are assured that new and real negotiations will result in an agreement, Djuric said.
