By economic activities, growth is recorded in the section of transport (28,5%), section of financial intermediation (14%), section of trade (10.5%), section of mining and quarrying (4.8%) and section of manufacturing (3.2%).
The section of hotels and restaurants recorded a fall of 16% while other services fell 1.6%.
The GDP growth was mainly due to increases in the section of transport (2.6 of a percentage point), section of financial intermediation (0.8 of a percentage point) and the section of manufacturing (0.5 of a percentage points).
Growth by quarters in 2006 compared to the same quarters of the previous year equaled 7% against the first quarter, 5.9% against the second quarter, 5.3% against the third quarter and 5% compared with the fourth quarter of 2005.
Total annual GDP in 2006 grew by 5.7%, accounting for over RSD 1,273 billion.
