The Ministry says in a statement that at the meeting, held on February 12, Dimitrijevic and Kuzin discussed the activities carried out by the Ministry and the Committee and which are important for further improvement of economic and commercial cooperation between the Serbian and Moscow City governments.
They agreed that conclusions form the first and second sessions of the joint expert group have been realised for the most part, says the e statement and recalls that one of the implemented projects was the national exhibition of the Serbian economy "Srbija 05", held in Moscow in late 2005.
This event was assessed as one of the most successful economic gatherings in Moscow and it had far-reaching effects on the improvement of trade cooperation between Serbian and Russian companies.
The project of constructing "The Serbian Trade House" in Moscow also began and the Serbian government will get around 7,000 square metres of quality business space for its needs where a permanent exhibition of potentials of the Serbian economy will be displayed.
The project of joint production of buses for city transport, concluded between Moscow's Tusino-Avto and Belgrade's Ikarbus, is also drawing to a close. Prototypes of these vehicles won awards for quality and design at the automobile fair held last August in Moscow.
As requested by the Committee, the Serbian Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services submitted the bid for the sale of wine material and bottled wines at Moscow market, produced by Vrsacki Vinogradi from Vrsac, recalls the statement and adds that further talks regarding the placement of Serbian wines in the Moscow market are underway.
Dimitrijevic and Kuzin concluded that all projects that have already begun will be concluded in 2007. They also agreed that the third session of the joint working group be held in Moscow from June 19 to 22 this year.
Minister Dimitrijevic recommended that at the upcoming session cooperation in the field of tourism should also be discussed, keeping in mind above all that major investment projects are underway and in preparation, and the opportunities in tourism in Serbia, particularly in health, recreation and mountain tourism.
During the meeting, the collocutors reached agreement that the Ministry should prepare information on tourism opportunities and investments, as well as reports on master plans for the development of Mt Stara Planina and Palic.
The Ministry will also appoint contact persons who will organise visits for potential investors and presentations of greenfield investments, including information on hotel privatisation, reads the statement.
