Constitutive sitting of Serbian parliament scheduled for February 14

Serbian parliament speaker Predrag Markovic has scheduled the first sitting of Serbian parliament’s new convocation for tomorrow at 12, in which mandates of MPs will be confirmed.

The second item on the agenda will be the Draft Resolution following "Comprehensive Proposal for the Kosovo Status Settlement" by UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari and continuation of talks on the future status of Kosovo-Metohija. The draft resolution will be sent to parliament for adoption.
The third and fourth items are the appointment of a new parliament speaker and deputy speaker, which will be followed by the appointment of members of working bodies.
The appointment of the parliament’s secretary will be under item six, to be followed by the debate on the Bill on ministries.
The eighth item on the agenda is the election of the new Serbian government.
The first sitting will take place in the House of Parliament.
Markovic scheduled the sitting respecting the Constitution, Rules of Procedure as well as the agreement between parliamentary parities and coalitions.
