The Serbian Privatisation Agency stated today that in accordance with the Decree on sale of capital and property through public tender, the deadline for concluding the contract on sale and transfer of exploitations rights of the Bor mining and metallurgical complex has been extended for 30 days, which establishes March 4, 2007 as the final deadline for concluding negotiations and signing the said contract.
According to the statement, the tender concerns the sale of property and transfer of exploitation rights of the Bor mining and metallurgical complex including Bor Copper Mines in restructuring, Majdanpek Copper Mines in restructuring and Copper Smeltery and Refinery in restructuring.
Considering the fact that a lot has been said in the media regarding the course of negotiations while negotiations are still underway with the bidder Cuprom SA Romania, the Agency has called upon all participants that in accordance with the signed declaration on confidentiality of data they should not give any information regarding the negotiations, publicly or unofficially, until the negotiations are brought to an end, reads the statement.
