The data on industrial production by sectors in December 2006, compared to December 2005, show growth in the production of durable consumer goods by 45%, non-durable consumer goods by 6.5%, energy 6%, intermediate goods by 4.4%, while a fall of 8.6% has been recorded in the production of capital goods.
The industrial production growth in December 2006 compared to December 2005 was mostly influenced by production of foodstuffs and beverages, furniture, electricity, oil derivatives and basic metals.
The seasonal adjustment of the industrial production index for December 2006, compared to the 2005 average, indicates a 10.3% growth in the overall industrial production and a 11.9% growth in the processing industry.
